Eyes raced up and down the field as if trying to keep track of a
tennis ball. |
|
The only difference between a
tennis match and the District
4-5A "track meet" between
Arlington and Arlington Bowie at
Maverick Stadium was that the
football moved back and forth
much faster than that yellow
ball.

Arlington
(6-2, 3-1) vs. Arlington Bowie (6-1, 3-0) |
Tobias:
Yet another
stellar
matchup out
of 4-5A,
which has
produced
some great
games this
year. Get
this, C-Los,
Arlington’s
offense
ranks No. 2
in our area
while Bowie
checks in at
No. 4 among
Class 5A
teams.
Defensively,
the Colts
check in at
No. 4 with
the Vols at
No. 5. I’ll
admit it:
I’ve got no
clue on this
one, other
than it
promises to
be a
slobber-knocker.

2-Minute Drill: Can Arlington Bowie’s
defense stop Arlington High’s offense? |

Star Telegram,

Bowie coach
Kenny Perry
doesn’t have
to be
briefed.
|
|
"They’re a good offense," he said. "We’ve
played some good offenses. [Dallas] Skyline
was good. [Arlington] Martin was good.
They’re all kind of different. But Arlington
does as good a job as anybody running the
spread. Joeckel puts the ball wherever he
wants. They’ve got a system, and it’s
working."
