BOWIE vs MARTIN GAME SUMMARY

Bowie "relishes" complete game
DFW Varsity, Posted Sep 30, 2008
By Milenko Martinovich

Arlington Bowie enters its bye in the afterglow of one of their best performances of the season in last week’s 38-12 victory over Arlington Martin. The Volunteers compiled 338 yards of offense, held Martin to 218 yards and didn’t allow the Warriors to score until the fourth quarter with the game decided. “It was the first time this year we had a complete game offensively, defensively and special teams,” Bowie coach Kenny Perry said.

Bowie - 31 Martin - 0 (end of 2nd Qtr)

Arlington Bowie continued to pour it on in the second quarter with a 27-yard field goal from Steve Valadez and a 6-yard TD run from Ronnie Thomas. Martin was held to zero offensive yards in the quarter.

Bowie - 21 Martin - 0    (end of 1st Qtr)

It was all Arlington Bowie on the first. The Vols scored twice on deep passes and a long drive to end the quarter. The Arlington Martin Warriors have one first down.

It’s week five of Nissan’s Big Game Friday. Tonight we traveled to UT-Arlington for a battle of the Arlington’s. 0-4 Arlington Martin was looking to pull the upset against 3-1 Arlington Bowie.
