passed for 167 yards and three touchdowns and rushed
for another score to lead Arlington Bowie to a 62-0
victory against Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt over Friday
night. |

Davis passed for 163 yards and three scores in
relief of Matthews, who rested in the second half.
Matthews suffered a shin injury last week in a loss
to Skyline. |

Volunteers receiver
Jordan Selexman caught four passes for 69 yards and
three touchdowns to help lead Bowie to a 42-0
halftime lead. |

Travis Evans paced the
Bowie ground game with 14 carries for 75 yards.

As defenders left the
field following a fourth-down incompletion, Texas
cornerback Ryan Palmer said he sensed something
special about this year’s unit. "That showed we can
be a hard-nosed, blue-collar defense," said Palmer,
a senior from Arlington Bowie. "That gave us a lot
of confidence."

Ryan Palmer, Texas senior DB:
The Arlington Bowie grad had two assisted tackles
and one pass breakup against UTEP. Palmer also had
an interception in the fourth quarter that was
overturned after a review. This is Palmer’s second
season as a starter. |

Marcus
McGraw, Houston freshman LB: The former
Arlington Bowie linebacker has made a quick
impression. McGraw led the Cougars in tackles with
10, including a half sack and one-and-a-half tackles
for loss, in Houston’s 55-3 rout of Southern on
Aug. 30. He had five tackles Saturday in a 56-37
loss to Oklahoma State. |
